It Started With a Birthday Gift

The Pure Note began with a birthday. I wanted to gift a friend a genuinely premium perfume — and ran into everything wrong with the fragrance market. The scents worth gifting were priced like jewellery, hard to find, and too precious to actually use. Nobody sprays a fifteen-thousand-rupee bottle on an ordinary Tuesday.

One question refused to leave: why does fine fragrance cost this much once a logo lands on the box? I went looking for the answer. The perfume-grade oils were within reach — what the price really paid for was the label.

So a gift for a friend became something bigger: a fragrance house built on one promise — the same premiumness, without the label tax. Scents made to be worn on ordinary days, because those are the days you actually live.

Curated, Then Finished by Hand

We don't pretend to run a grand perfume factory — we do something more honest. We source exceptional high-concentration perfume oils, including refined interpretations of the world's most-loved scent profiles, and turn them into finished fragrance by hand in Mumbai.

Every oil is chosen personally after testing candidate after candidate — most never make it. Every bottle is filled, assembled and checked in small batches before it earns a number and a name. The result: 10–12 hours on skin, at a price you can wear daily.

100% pure intention.

I'm Abhishek Jha. By day I'm a full-time software developer; by night I select fragrances, fill bottles, and pack orders from Mumbai. I founded The Pure Note in 2026 - it took one birthday gift and about thirty restless days to go from idea to name.

People ask about the name. “Pure” was never a claim about ingredients - no honest perfumer would make it. It stands for 100% pure intention: build genuinely premium fragrance at a price that lets you wear it every single day. That intention is the note worth remembering.

Six fragrances today - three for him, three for her. New scents join the collection every month. This is only the beginning.
